University of Information Technologies established in Azerbaijan

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on establishment of the University of Information Technologies.
Under the order, the University of Information Technologies has been established. The Cabinet of Ministers is to prepare the draft regulations of the university and submit to President within two months. The Cabinet of Ministers is to take into account the financing of the activity of the University of Information Technologies from the state budget for 2013, draft state budgets for 2014 and the following years, take relevant steps to provide the university with a building and necessary equipment.

After declaration of 2013 the Year of information and communication technologies (ICT) in Azerbaijan, and the subsequent address of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies (MCIT) for receiving proposals in connection with the event has been positively welcomed by the public.
