ITU reports strong demand for ICT services

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) reported strong growth in demand for services in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT), and steady fall in the price of broadband Internet.
 According to a new report released by the ITU -The World in 2013: ICT Facts and Figures, the number of mobile-cellular subscriptions is approaching 7 billion, and this milestone will be passed in early of 2014.
 ITU also reports a further increase in the number of Internet users globally.

Japanese delegation visits MCIT

Being on visit to Azerbaijan, the Japanese delegation consisting of   representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan,  Mitsubishi Electric Corporation,  Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd, Nippon Electric Corporation, IHI Corporation, IHI Aerospace Co., PASCO, JAMSS , Corporations Mitsubishi, Sumitomo, Itochu, Japan Space Forum , Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, Japan Space Systems,  Remote Sensing Technology Center of Japan , The Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies,  visited the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies (MCIT).

21 years have passed since Armenians committed genocide in Khojaly town of Azerbaijan.

Armenian armed forces, with the help of the 366th Motorized Rifle Regiment of Russia occupied the Azerbaijani town of Khojaly and slaughtered civilians on the night of February 25-26, 1992.
Armenian military units, with the help of the 366th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the USSR based in Khankendi attacked on Khojaly on February 25, 1992.

MWC 2013 kicks off in Barcelona

The Mobile World Congress 2013 (MWC), the world’s largest mobile industry exhibition and conference of the heads of mobile telecom operators, vendors and suppliers, kicks off today in Barcelona, Spain.
The event, which traditionally gives tone to the manufacturers of mobile technology for the years ahead, is attended by over 1500 companies and manufacturers. The exhibition will showcase mobile innovations, entertainment, applications, open mobile systems, and Internet technologies.

Google launches Chrome OS-based laptop

Google has launched its touchscreen laptop, Chromebook Pixel running Chrome OS.
According to Cybersecurity, WiFi-version Chromebook Pixel is already available in the U.S. for $ 1,300. LTE-equipped version (and WiFi) will go on sale in April and will cost $ 1,450 in the U.S. New gadget will compete with new solutions of Microsoft and Apple.
The aluminum-bodied laptop is similar to Apple laptops. In addition, the display should be mentioned specially.

iPhone 5 is world’s best-selling smartphone
