New standards in the area of information technologies approved
State Committee on Standardization, Meteorology and Patent has endorsed following state standards prepared by Technical Committee on Standardization “Information Communication Technologies ” which was established jointly by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies (MCIT) and State Committee on Standardization, Meteorology and Patent:
AZS ISO/IEC 27000-2012 “Information Technologies - Security methods. Information Security Management Systems. Overview and Glossary”

European operators want payment for network load
European Telecommunications Network Operators’ Association (ETNO) proposed to revise the international norms for telecommunications and collect payment from leading Internet companies (for example, Google or Facebook) for load, which is created by their traffic on the networks of providers.
ETNO has sent its proposal to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the draft will be considered at a meeting scheduled for December 2012.
