On July 26, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva arrived in London, which hosts 30th Summer Olympic Games.
At London Stansted Airport, the Head of State, President of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed by Azerbaijan’s ambassador to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Fakhraddin Gurbanov, the British Queen’s personal representative Lord Peter and an official from the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office. RCITUCW holds its report election conference
Republican Committee of Independent Trade Union of Communications Workers (RCITUCW) held report election conference. The conference was attended by Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Iltimas Mammadov, leaders of Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC), chairmen of trade unions of communications organizations and enterprises. RCITUCW chairman Seymur Orujov opened the meeting with an introductory speech and informed the participants about the agenda of the conference.

OSCE to conduct monitoring of contact line of troops

Cisco Systems reduces its staff
Cisco Systems Inc., the world’s biggest maker of networking equipment will reduce its staff roughly 1.3 thousand employees. The move will be made to restructure the company.

19 years have passed today since the occupation of Azerbaijan’s Aghdam region by Armenian Armed Forces. Armenian invaders occupied 882 sq km of 1094 sq km territory of Aghdam region on July 23, 1993 and 128 thousand people became displaced persons. As a result of the occupation 122 villages, 24 446 residential buildings, 48 industrial and construction facilities, 160 schools, 65 health centers, 373 cultural centers, 1 theater, 3 mosques and 2 museums were burned and destroyed completely.
