M.A.Mammadov 

General Director

Mahammad Asker oglu Mammadov was born on 9 May, 1957 in the Bulgan village of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. In 1979 he graduated from the Azerbaijan Polytechnical Institute named after Ch. Ildirim, on the specialty of Automatic electric communication of the Electrotechnics faculty. 

Since then M.A.Mammadov has worked in the communication field and held different posts such as electrical mechanic, engineer, chief engineer, head of the station service, chief engineer of the Telephone Junction, head of  Project Searching Office,  Chief engineer of the BTCPU and head of the BTCPU.

He has been appointed the General Director of “Aztelecom” PU since 4 May, 2004.

He is a member of the Board of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.

M.A. Mammadov is a candidate of Technical Sciences. Moreover, he is the author of 5 inventions, over 150 rationalization proposals, 21 scientific articles and 6 books.

Because of the efficient or succesful activity in the telecoms sphere, he was awarded different honorary titles as "Master of Communications", bronze medal of the exhibition of USSR National Economy Achievements and “honorary decree” of the Organization of Regional Cooperation of the CIS on the communication field.

In 2008 Mahammad Mammadov was selected Associate Member of International Engineering Academy.

By the order of the Azerbaijani President, dated December 1, 2011, M.A.Mammadov was given the title of “Honoured Engineer”.

M.A. Mammadov is the chairman of Central Control- Revision Commission of the New Azerbaijan Party and “Aztelecom” territorial organization of the party (it is the first territorial unit of the party). Besides, he is a member of the management of the Yasamal district organization of NAP.
